Hamilton gushing with confidence on pole

Lewis Hamilton was gushing with confidence after storming to pole position at Spa Francorchamps by a margin of 0.3s over Felipe Massa.

"Today's been a great day for me," said Hamilton. "I was so happy with all the laps I did in qualifying. It's always satisfying when you can do a lap and come back in and watch everyone else chase that. The team made no mistakes today and neither did I. I had a couple of lock-ups in Q3 but managed to keep it together to get the lap in so I'm very happy. I feel great, the team and the atmosphere in the team feels great and they've been doing such a solid job that's coming out in the results we have. I'm just thrilled to be here."

"Coming from Valencia we knew we had some work to do and I've come here feeling better than ever," he added. "The car preparation is all there. Tomorrow's going to be a challenging day for all of us, but with the package we have we'll be hard to beat."
