Alonso talks up 2009 chances

Fernando Alonso's outlook for 2009 is a world away from the conservative outlook he had on rejoining Renault twelve months ago. 

"Our target for 2009 is to improve," Alonso said. "The first part of last season was pretty average. I can't afford to start the championship thinking that I'm not going to win."

"My own, and the team's target is to win the title," he added. "It's a clear goal, although we might have to revise it as time goes on, but at the moment, that's what we're aiming for. I want to try to be champion next season."
